As an interview coach, I am so lucky to learn so much about the people I work with as the entire process is about being able to best communciate who you are to the panel.

So, here is a little about me.

I'm Brooke Bullock

Hi!

I'm Brooke and I wear a lot of hats like all of you do!

In a nutshell, I'm A Mum, Interview Coach, Manager, Podcaster, Pharmacist, Researcher and an Educator.

Here's a pic of my glorious tribe - My husband Josh and my wild daughters Lulu and Lottie.

There is lots of information about me below, but I also hope that you'll get to know me through a course, coaching or other offering.

Most importantly though, I look forward to getting to know you and helping you put your best foot forward through the recruitment process.

The official bio

Dr Brooke Bullock is a Pharmacist currently practicing across numerous diverse environments; as the Assistant Director of Pharmacy at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, previously as a Medical Education officer in the Emergency department at Gold Coast Health and as a Researcher having completed her PhD in 2020 through the University of Queensland and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and as An Accredited Pharmacist with the Australian Association of Consultant Pharmacists.

Brooke has a long-standing interest in medical officer recruitment which stems from a belief that preparing for an interview should be like preparing for one of the biggest exams of your career.
Brooke has been working as a medical interview coach for nine years with a keen interest in specialty program and fellowship interviews.

Brooke’s research focused on the Impact of a Clinical Pharmacist on Post Take Ward Round prescribing, communication, medication appropriateness and cost. She has a particular interest in Education which has seen half her career focused on education which has included fulfilling volunteering positions on nine occasions abroad at the University of Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea, the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka and also on a Medical Mission delivering healthcare to local people in a remote part of the Solomon Islands.
She graduated from James Cook University, Townsville in 2006, completed a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Queensland in 2010 and completed her PhD in Hospital Pharmacy Practice in 2020. Brooke’s involvement in the Pharmacy profession stemmed from days as the National President of the Australian Pharmacy Students Association and lengthy involvement in the International Pharmaceutical Students Association. Brooke is also involved in community volunteering and fundraising; whereby she has raised over $10 000 for cancer research.

Brooke co-hosts a podcast, called Humans in Health where she and co-host Jessica Weatherall interview people working in healthcare as a way of fostering connection.

In 2012, Brooke was awarded the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia’s Young Pharmacist of the Year award where she was recognised for striving to advance the pharmacy profession and was selected by the leaders of the profession as epitomising the highest standard of innovation within her practice.
